Why use a rubber ferrule?

A walking cane without rubber ferrule is like a shoe without sole ...

(Almost) all of our walking canes are ended with a rubber ferrule (rubber ending).

Keep in mind that you need to check the quality of the ferrule regularly!

The rubber ferrule will "wear out" after some time, depending on the frequency of use. Someone will need only one ferrule for their lifetime, other can wear out/damage the ferrule after a month of intensive use of the cane.

There are various types of ferrules - thickness, material, colours, ...

But the common division is on ferrules suitable for wooden canes and ferrules suitable for aluminium canes (foldable and adjustable canes).
