The trick is that the top layer is a solid black and as if by magic, when you turn it over from the other side, you discover the beauty of the peacock feather's unmistakable colouring, so characteristic of its green-blue colour meshes.

The handle of the peacock umbrella is another gem, made of brass, soft in the palm of the hand, in golden colour with ornaments for ladies and embedded with green Swarovski® crystals.
